Teamwork on Higher Education Project

Through one of the firms where we act as pension consultants, and for one of their Higher Education clients, we worked alongside employment lawyers and other professional advisers.

We were instructed to help the client implement its proposal to close the pension scheme to new members, introduce changes to the existing benefit structure and increase member contributions. The exercise involved communication with members, discussion with trade unions and trustees, as well as revision of the scheme provisions.  After lengthy discussions, the changes were implemented.
